New Visitor Requirements for Hume Stores in Victoria

As part of ongoing efforts to support the construction industry in Victoria with supply of building products, tools and accessories during COVID-19, our stores at Preston and Sunshine West in Melbourne remain open for business, however we continue to adjust our way of doing business in the interests of staff and customer safety, and would like to advise of our current visitor requirements as follows:

We highly recommend our customers to: 

• Order via phone or online (call 13 4863, or email info@humebuildingproducts.com.au)
• Avoid cash by making contactless payments if picking up goods from our stores. 

If you need to pickup goods or make purchases in person, the following rules apply: 

• If you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, please seek medical advice and do not attend our premises.
• Use of face coverings is now mandatory in Victoria.  You must bring and wear a face mask if visiting our premises.
• A temperature test will be undertaken upon arrival.
• You are required to register your contact details on our COVID-19 Visitors Registration sheet.
• Hand sanitiser is provided onsite. Please use this upon arrival.
• Do not make physical contact with our employees when offering a greeting or farewell.
• Only touch products that you intend to buy.
• Maintain social distancing at all times including when inside the store (1.5 meter minimum) and when in warehouse areas (please wait inside your car/truck).
• If you need to use our toilet facilities, please maintain good hygiene practices (wash hands with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds).
• Follow cough and sneeze etiquette, by covering your nose and mouth and washing your hands afterward.
